Jurisdiction: Laws of England and Wales
Welcome to SEAMAE. Your privacy is not just a regulatory requirement; it is a core component of our technical architecture. This Privacy Policy outlines how SEAMAE (“we,” “our,” or “us”) manages personal data across our global marketplace at https://seatrian.shop.
By using our services, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Policy.
1. The “Privacy-First” Architecture
Unlike traditional marketplaces, SEAMAE operates on a Privacy-First Data Minimization principle.
For Buyers: We do not require or store government-issued identification for direct cryptocurrency purchases.
For Fiat-to-Crypto Transactions: All Identity Verification (KYC) is performed by regulated third-party providers (e.g., MoonPay, Transak, Banxa, Stripe). SEAMAE never sees, collects, or stores your sensitive identity documents (e.g., passports, driver’s licenses). We only receive a “verified” status token to facilitate the transaction.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information necessary to provide a secure digital marketplace and comply with AML (Anti-Money Laundering) standards.
A. Information You Provide Directly
Account Data: When you register via Google or Facebook Auth, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture.
Web3 Data: Public wallet addresses used for direct crypto payments (NOWPayments/Web3).
Vendor Data: To maintain marketplace integrity, Sellers must provide business details and undergo mandatory KYC. While sensitive ID documents are handled by our compliance partners, we retain your business name, tax ID (where applicable), and payout details (Revolut/Banking info).
B. Information Collected Automatically
Technical Logs: IP addresses, browser type, and device identifiers are logged for fraud prevention and security monitoring.
Usage Data: We use Google Analytics to understand how users interact with our platform. This data is anonymized where possible.
C. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies for essential functions (authentication) and performance (analytics). Please refer to our Cookie Policy for detailed disclosures.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (UK GDPR)
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation, we process your data based on:
Contractual Necessity: To deliver the digital assets you purchase.
Legal Obligation: To comply with international AML/CTF (Counter-Terrorism Financing) regulations.
Legitimate Interests: To prevent fraud and improve platform security.
Consent: For marketing communications (which you may opt out of at any time).
4. Data Sharing and Third-Party Providers
We do not sell your data. We share information only with trusted partners necessary for service delivery:
| Category | Partner(s) | Purpose |
| Payment Gateways | MoonPay, Transak, Banxa, Stripe, NOWPayments | Payment processing & Fiat-to-Crypto onramps. |
| Authentication | Google, Facebook (Meta) | Secure user login. |
| Analytics | Google Analytics | Platform optimization. |
| Banking/Payouts | Revolut | Seller disbursements and global banking. |
Note on Vendor Integrity: We share a Buyer’s email and order details with the Seller strictly for license delivery and technical support. Sellers are contractually prohibited from using this data for independent marketing.
5. International Data Transfers
As a UK entity with a global user base, your data may be processed in the UK, EEA, or the USA. We ensure all transfers comply with the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to protect your rights.
6. Your Rights & Choices
Depending on your jurisdiction (UK GDPR, CCPA, etc.), you have the following rights:
Right to Access/Know: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
Right to Erasure (“Right to be Forgotten”): Request deletion of your account and personal data, subject to our legal record-keeping obligations (e.g., tax laws).
Right to Opt-Out: You may opt out of non-essential tracking via our Cookie Settings.
Data Portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format.
To exercise these rights, contact support@seatrian.shop.
7. AML/CTF Compliance & Fraud Prevention
SEAMAE adheres to international standards to prevent financial crime. We monitor for suspicious activity and may suspend accounts or cooperate with law enforcement if we detect fraudulent items, malware distribution, or money laundering attempts.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary:
Transaction Records: Kept for 7 years to comply with UK tax and accounting laws.
Marketing Data: Kept until you withdraw consent.
Technical Logs: Deleted or anonymized after 90 days unless required for an active security investigation.
9. Security
We implement industry-standard AES-256 encryption and Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocols. While we take exhaustive measures to protect your data, no method of digital transmission is 100% secure. We encourage users to use strong passwords and enable 2FA where available.
